Unlimit Health

Over the course of summer 2022, I worked with the international charity Unlimit Health - previously known as SCI Foundation - to support the organisation through a rebrand. This involved:

  • Research: auditing stakeholders’ perceptions of the charity and agreeing the reputational ‘strengths’ that should be carried forward via the new brand.

  • Strategy: guiding the organisation through the development of a new and improved brand strategy which better reflects a new strategic direction.

  • Renaming: guiding the organisation through the process of choosing a new name and providing support around due dilligence and trademarking.

  • Supporting Door22, the agency that created the logo, visual identity, and brand guidelines. This included testing the brand in focus groups and creating a key messaging framework for inclusion in the brand guidelines.

 

System communications support for Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care System

On behalf of Sirona care & health, I provide ongoing support to healthcare system partners across BNSSG to communicate complex, partnership-led healthcare programmes to both staff and the public. These programmes include:

  • NHS@Home - the new virtual wards service that uses digital monitoring and face to face clinical visits to support acutely unwell people in their homes, thereby preventing unnecessary hospital stays.

  • The Stroke Improvement Programme - involving the launch of new and improved stroke services across our region.

 

Sirona care & health

The UK’s largest social enterprise delivering NHS community healthcare to adults and children across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.

  • Creation of an internal communications strategy, aimed at supporting and engaging over 3800 dispersed healthcare professionals (Summer 21).

  • Project managing the commission and implementation of Workplace by Facebook, an internal social network which improves two way and real time communication across the organisation. Included setting up 20 different news and engagement groups and training staff (Oct 21 to Feb 22).

  • Project managing the decommission of the intranet and the creation of a new Knowledge Library on Workplace, to replace it, involving over 200 pages of content. (Oct 21 to Feb 22).

  • Creation of a colleague engagement film, working with supplier partners (Oct to Dec 21).

  • Creation of the organisation’s 2022 Impact Report (Sept 22).

Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire CCG

Over the summer of 2021 I provided support to a campaign led by the BNSSG CCG Communications team, that aimed to encourage local people under the age of 26 to receive their Covid-19 vaccinations. This included:

  • Managing the digital agency tasked with creating paid social advertising.

  • Working with local influencers to create social media campaign content.

  • Working with local voluntary sector organisations to create social media campaign content.

  • Undertaking evaluation against campaign objectives.

 

Eunomia

In summer 2021, I undertook a strategic brand audit for this international environmental consultancy (summer 21).

This involved interviewing a range of external stakeholders to obtain input on the current brand’s assets and the organisation’s reputation, as well as an online survey to measure feedback from a broader range of stakeholders.

A final report was created with strategic recommendations to support an intended future rebrand.

 

Safety Net UK

A trauma informed domestic and sexual abuse charity based in the north of England (ongoing). Work has involved:

  • Repositioning the charity’s vision, mission and values, creating a new set of brand guidelines.

  • Developing and creating the content for a new website - www.safetynetuk.org

  • Press engagement work and creating appropriate blog posts for the organisation.

  • Media training for senior staff members.

  • Ongoing social media management.


phlow

Strategic communications agency style support at phlow, a global content-sharing app and tech start up (2019-2020). The ongoing work involved :

  • Brand identity development and guidelines.

  • Investor communications: pitch deck development, introduction emails, one pagers for investors.

  • Digital and social media development.

  • Press engagement.

Hammersmith United Charities

HUC is a charity providing almshouse accommodation and community grants in London. The work involved:

  • Marketing communications audit.

  • Marketing communications strategic plan for the 2020-21 financial year.

Hannah Parker Therapy

Marketing agency style support for Hannah Parker Therapy, a body psychotherapy practice based in Bristol, UK. The ongoing work involved:

  • Customer avatar development.

  • Message and brand positioning.

  • A new website.

  • PPC advertising (Google Ads).


WeCare

Marketing agency style support for WeCare, a home improvement agency and charity based in the south west UK.

  • Marketing audit.

  • Marketing strategy.

  • Development of a content marketing strategy.

  • Full rebrand, including a new brand positioning and visual identity.

Bristol Community Health

BCH was a leading UK social enterprise delivering NHS funded community healthcare in Bristol, with a turnover of c.72M and 1700 staff. I worked in the organisation as the in-house Head of Marketing Communications between 2014 and 2019.

SafeLives is a leading national domestic abuse charity with a current turnover of £6.5M. I worked in the organisation as the in-house Head of Marketing Communications between 2009 and 2014.

• Marketing 10 B2B fee generating products.
• Digital communications: social media, direct email marketing and website and CRM development.
